What a few weeks for the Newton Road Runners! After a relatively quiet February, March was kicked off in style with Coach Craig tackling his 5th major out in Tokyo. Despite tough conditions on the day, Craig glided through the Japanese capital to grab that 5th star. Even more exciting, it's a very quick turn around for him as he heads to Boston in April. Good luck, Craig.

Back home, the club turned out in mass to support the Cambuslang Harriers' local race, Down by the River. A fantastic effort all round with couple of stand out performances with a number of PBs including Corey, Joanne, Adam and Bryan.

One person who unfortunately had to miss out on the race was club coach Ben who completed his Level 3 Endurance Event Coaching qualification. We're not quite sure if this is a good thing as we wait with anticipation for the sessions on the horizon.

Things were stepped up a notch this weekend with another host of PBs coming at the Alloa half marathon. Emma, Ben, Kenny and Jase took on the hills of Callander in the 10k. However, the stars of the week go to Emily and Kieran. Emily completed Barcelona Marathon as she works her way through the A-Z of marathons with Kieran smashing nearly 25mins off his Marathon PB in Rome... Are you not entertained?!
